**MADALIAS** is a Windows desktop editor for **Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Mod Tools** sound alias CSV files.

It is made for modders who want to create and edit aliases without manually fighting a huge CSV in Notepad or Excel.

## What It Does

- Opens existing BO3 sound alias CSV files.

- Merges two BO3 sound alias CSV files into one combined CSV.

- Bulk imports a folder of WAV files into aliases.

- Lets you drag and drop single WAVs, multiple WAVs, or folders of WAVs into the app.

- Offers a preset popup after WAV import/drop so the new rows can be set up immediately or assigned later.

- Checks dragged/dropped and bulk imported WAVs, treating 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz PCM files as known working formats.

- Previews selected WAV files with simple **Play WAV** and **Stop Audio** buttons.

- Finds missing WAV files against a selected `sound_assets` folder.

- Creates random variant groups from selected aliases.

- Exports GSC helper snippets.

- Shows a quick CSV health report.

- Keeps a recent files menu and lists timestamped backups.

- Creates new blank alias files using the full 102-column BO3 stock alias template.

- Preserves the exact column order from the opened CSV.

- Preserves unknown/custom columns instead of deleting or guessing them.

- Adds, edits, duplicates, deletes, searches, and filters aliases.

- Lets you browse for WAV files for `FileSpec`, `FileSpecSustain`, and `FileSpecRelease`.

- Numeric fields include `-` / `+` buttons while still allowing manual typing.

- Matching `Min` fields auto-fill to one below the `Max` value when needed.

- Uses a full-width alias table with the selected alias properties below it.

- Keeps the top toolbar focused on quick workflow actions while full commands live in the menus.

- Keeps validation/output collapsed at the bottom until you choose to show it.

- Saves safely with an automatic timestamped `.bak` backup before overwrite.

- Warns on close if the current CSV has unsaved changes.
